For Atlanta-native and 2019 CMA award winner, Janelle Sy’mone , soul stirring performances are the life blood of her shows. For over two years, she has captured the attention of local and national audiences with her lush sound and high energy stage presence.

Growing up on the west side of Atlanta with her mom, two brothers and sisters, Janelle started singing at the age of six. She would be heard trying to mimic the tone of Anita Baker’s “You Bring Me Joy” and the emotion of Teena Marie in “Fire and Desire”.

Shortly after graduating high school, Janelle relocated to North Carolina and there she would start singing in local bars and small open mics.
“I joined a band I met off Craigslist. They were looking for a singer and I was looking for an escape, so it seemed perfect for the both of us.”
The group would later disband, but Janelle joined a new band called Uptempo, where she met producer and songwriter Jeremy James.

Through their musical collaboration, Janelle garnered the 2019 Carolina Music Award for Best R&B female got a chance to tour and perform in cities such as Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Austin and Tallahassee. Her music has been deemed as ‘Pop Soul’ by music outlets such as Buzz Music and Voyage ATL.
Her debut Ep, “Girl Girl” is slated to be released in the summer of 2021.
