(Wednesday, Sept. 9. 2020) LA-based indie rock band DREAMERS have released a companion video for their brand-new track, “Teddy Bear”.  The clip was directed by Ben Zucker and shot throughout Echo Park. It was only the second time the band (vocalist/guitarist Nick Wold, bassist/vocalist Nelson and drummer/vocalist Jacob Wick) had been together since the pandemic started.

“We like to make a lot of music videos with big lofty concepts and ideals and ‘Teddy Bear’ is the opposite,” says Wold. “It’s a song from the heart and the video shows us just as we are.  Love us or hate us, we are here, staying alive in love and in the modern world.  How are you?”

Buzzbands.la praised the track, calling it the band’s “clever/kinda irresistible new single” and spotlighted the lyric, I’m your teddy bear / You left me in your room / My button-eyes are falling out.

Explains Wold, “I was struck by an image of a teddy bear that had been left at home, one that used to get all of the world’s affection but now finds itself sitting more and more on a shelf, its neck sagging into a state of permanent cocked-sideways. If you’ve ever been left at home, if you’ve ever been grown out of, if you’ve ever felt like you were being held on to just for someone else comfort, this song is for you.”

“Teddy Bear” follows the aptly named “Heat Seeker” ft. grandson, which rocketed onto the charts and is currently No. 24 at alternative radio.

The band made a special “isolation video version” of the track, enlisting friends Robert Delong, Joywave’s Daniel Armbruster, UPSAHL and Bikini Trill’s Tony Stern – watch HERE. That followed their original live-action clip and the animated version of “Heat Seeker” ft. grandson which follows lead singer Nick Wold and grandson as they search for truth and meaning while navigating a cosmic gauntlet filled with false idols, relentless consumerism and shady politicians.

The Dreamers / grandson collab follows their first team-up, on grandson’s “Whole Lotta,” which is part of the XXwhy campaign designed to raise awareness for voter registration.

“Heat Seeker” comes off the success of “Die Happy,” which was a top ten hit at Alternative radio.
